3. Round Table - Measuring Sustainability: Prospects for ConvergenceBetween Various Reporting Systems (6:30pm)
How do we measure progress to sustainability? How do we begin to alignmeasurement and reporting systems that exist at different scales - global,national, regional, local and corporate? Participants will discuss theEnvironmental Sustainability Index (http://www.yale.edu/esi/) and the NJ StateSustainability Indicators (http://www.njssi.net/gi/), both recently updated, as wellsystems of corporate performance indicators such as GRI(www.globalreporting.org), and explore how these and other frameworks mightconverge to provide stakeholders with the information they need to make sounddecisions and contribute to the broader goals of global sustainable development.
