You are invited to attend an open discussion forum on the subject ‘Leadership for Sustainability' with 150 of China's leading students and other interested organisations. Those invited are people with an interest in sustainability, specifically the Corporate Social Responsibility aspect, from all backgrounds such as Universities, Businesses, Government and Non-Governmental Organisations. The focus is: What do China's future leaders know and think about
Why?
AIESEC, the international platform for young people to discover and develop their potential to have a positive impact on
society, has (since 1948) been striving to develop socially responsible leaders. Now present in 89 countries and territories with almost a million alumni globally, AIESEC is present in Mainland China with over 300 students from 8 Universities. We understand the need for China's future leaders to have a wider knowledge of the World around us and be equipped with the tools to ensure a prosperous and sustainable China.
What?
Forming a key part of Sustainability Learning Network, the Leadership for Sustainability Day takes place at the end of AIESEC's January Conference. Over 15 Organisations from business, civil society and academia will be delivering challenging workshops to the students and at the end of the day there is an opportunity for you to attend an open forum to learn what the students think, question them and discuss this key issue with others. We will be subsequently releasing a publication in association with Sinomonitor, including a survey of student opinion on Sustainability.
When and where?
The forum will take place on January 25th from 5pm at the University of International Business and Economics (对外经贸
大学). www.uibe.edu.cn. The address is 12 East Huixin Street, Chaoyang District, Beijing (北京市朝阳区惠新东街12 号).
