主题 : [CSRChina] CSR and youth in China
Dear all (any questions about AIESEC, or our CSR work, please feel free to
ask)
AIESEC, the international platform for young people to discover and
develop their potential, is proud to announce the beginning of its CSR
drive. As a leading NGO that creates the World's future leaders, AIESEC
has always taken its educational role in their development seriously,
including CSR. I am sure there is no need to emphasise how important it is
that China's future leaders are aware of, and informed about, CSR. Our
initial indication is that for many business students, CSR is still
relatively unknown.
In Mainland China, we will be shortly commencing a series of CSR
initiatives designed to inform around 250 or so students across 6 top
Universities (in Beijing and Shanghai).
As part of their development a series of surveys will be done to track
their learning, and this will also be released to those interested in
learning what youth in China know, and think about, CSR. The programme
will start at the end of November and will be ongoing with an entire day
on CSR at a conference in January.
We are interested in talking to anyone (business, government, NGO, IGO
etc) for a number of reasons:
1) advice on the structure of our programme,
2) ability (and desire) to provide content (workshops/speakers) in either
Shanghai or Beijing. We will be especially looking at those able to
provide introductions and different perspectives on CSR as well as those
able to provide workshops and interesting case studies on their
organisation,
3) interest in the research aspect of Chinese youth's thoughts on CSR,
4) anyone able to provide other resources, financial or in-kind to support
this initiative,
5) anyone interested in AIESEC's work and network, globally and in
Mainland China. This includes those who can provide CSR internships for
our local and global network.
This is an opportunity to physically engage with Mainland China's leading
students on an issue of crucial importance to China. There will also be
online resources made available, and this fits in with AIESEC's global
initiatives (where we cooperate with the WBCSD and the global compact
amongst other businesses and NGOs). Please note we also have offices in
Hong Kong and Taiwan, and if you are interested in our CSR activities
there, I will be happy to connect you.
Please direct all enquiries to me, Adam Lane, on adam.lane@aiesec.net or
+86 (0)10 6264-2519. On behalf of AIESEC in Mainland China, we look
forward to hearing from those interested in helping and working with us.
Kind regards
Adam
